Jocelyn Matthews is Community Manager at Storj Labs, a company focused on decentralized cloud object storage. Her focus is to grow a vibrant ecosystem to which people bring their best selves. She is a former Rosberg-Geist Fellow at UC Berkeley's Center for African Studies. Her ethnographic social research received funding from the Sultan Grant for Arab Cultural Studies; UC Berkeley Ctr. for Race and Gender Studies; HASTAC; and National Science Foundation (NSF). She is an active member of the Bay Area Black Designers group and Elpha.
