Alexandru is a Professor Assistant at the Politehnica University of Bucharest and also the co-founder of Wyliodrin, an IoT start-up (university spin-off) that provides industrial device management and software deployment solutions for industrial systems.
Alexandru is also the co-founder and vice-president of IP Workshop, an NGO that organizes IT & business summer schools for over 13 years.
During the last 5 years, Alexandru has worked with Internet of Things systems and has built several open-source and private IoT platforms, for both education and industry use. One of the most important such projects is Wyliodrin STUDIO (https://wyliodrin.com/iot-prototyping), an open-source platform for IoT prototyping. The solution is used at a global scale by teachers, students, and hobbyists.
Due to his career, Alexandru has a vast speaking experience. Besides the courses that he teaches at the university and pitching sessions for his start-up, he has held multiple classes and workshops for high-school and university students, but also for experienced engineers and IT professionals. He has also held multiple presentations at maker events, media conferences and has also held a presentation at the Open IoT Summit in 2016.
